The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Danny Stutsman, No. 151, roughly 65 picks past where he belonged.
Rourke has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 16 they get a wrecking ball inside at a price that makes it sweeter.
Grey Zabel in the 47th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A big swing on Kurtis Rourke at No. 78, well ahead of any board in the building. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A real head-scratcher, Simeon Barrow Jr. in pick No. 114 is miles ahead of his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They will replay Danny Stutsman at Round 5, Pick 14 for years; that is how good the value is. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
