Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Packers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

It is not that Bishop is a bad player; it is that the Packers had louder needs to answer first. The Laube pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Jonah Jackson gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
