They robbed the room for Javon Bullard here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A minor itch, scratched.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Mike Sainristil at the 88th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A big swing on Cedric Gray at Round 3, Pick 28, well ahead of any board in the building. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Braelon Allen in slot 126 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jarrian Jones. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Malik Mustapha went about where he belonged in No. 169. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Caedan Wallace in Round 6, Pick 27 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nothing to complain about; Nathaniel Watson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Dominique Hampton is a better player than pick 245 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
They talked themselves into Isaac Rex at pick No. 250, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They reached a country mile for Taulia Tagovailoa at the Round 7 slot, and the board is aghast. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
