Of all the ways to open, the Packers chose the head-scratcher, spending No. 91 on Jaden Hicks with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still wide open.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Oladapo.
If Taylor pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.

Trey Taylor in the 255th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
