The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Dwight McGlothern, the No. 161 name on the board, in Round 6, Pick 27.

Limmer has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Graham Barton · OT · rank 26
In the 25th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. A real need, handled.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Cooper DeJean · CB · rank 27
A slide stopped in Round 2, Pick 9, with Cooper DeJean worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Payton Wilson · LB · rank 57
They took Payton Wilson at par in pick 58, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R3.27 · Pick 90 · Jaden Hicks · S · rank 85
Jaden Hicks at slot 90 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Beaux Limmer · C · rank 126
Beaux Limmer at the 91st pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Isaac Guerendo · RB · rank 128
They paid sticker price for Isaac Guerendo in the Round 4 slot, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R5.2 · Pick 138 · Dallin Holker · TE · rank 151
They went early on Dallin Holker in No. 138, and the value did not follow. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.33 · Pick 169 · Khristian Boyd · DL-EDGE · rank 177
They liked Khristian Boyd enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 169. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.35 · Pick 171 · Tyrone Tracy Jr. · WR · rank 151
Tyrone Tracy Jr. at slot 171 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Joe Milton III · QB · rank 200
A real head-scratcher, Joe Milton III in Round 5, Pick 36 is miles ahead of his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R6.27 · Pick 202 · Dwight McGlothern · CB · rank 161
Dwight McGlothern at the 202nd pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Jalen Sundell · OT · rank 246
They reached into another round for Jalen Sundell, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It fills a real need, too.
R7.25 · Pick 245 · Trey Taylor · S · rank 267
A big swing on Trey Taylor at the Round 7 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
R7.35 · Pick 255 · JD Bertrand · LB · rank 220
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, JD Bertrand in No. 255, plain and simple. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
