Some picks age like wine; Beaux Limmer at Round 3, Pick 28 will need to, sitting 35 spots clear of his grade.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Getting DeJean where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
Pick-by-Pick
A quiet steal in pick 41: Cooper DeJean for less than the market said. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Max Melton in slot 88. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Beaux Limmer well ahead of where he belonged. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Cedric Gray in No. 101 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They paid a round early for Roger Rosengarten in Round 4, Pick 26, more than the board wanted. A need, and now a little less of one.
AJ Barner in the 169th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
