The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kamal Hadden, the No. 168 name on the board, in the Round 6 slot.

The Bortolini pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.9 · Pick 41 · Kamari Lassiter · CB · rank 41
They paid sticker price for Kamari Lassiter in pick 41, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R2.18 · Pick 50 · Kris Jenkins · DL-EDGE · rank 50
Kris Jenkins in the 50th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.21 · Pick 53 · Payton Wilson · LB · rank 57
A straight-up fair deal on Payton Wilson at the Round 2 slot, value and slot in agreement. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R3.7 · Pick 71 · Kiran Amegadjie · OT · rank 66
Nothing to complain about; Kiran Amegadjie went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Dominick Puni · OT · rank 88
A tidy little value on Dominick Puni in Round 3, Pick 28, a step better than break-even. The roster fit checks out.
R3.34 · Pick 97 · Khyree Jackson · CB · rank 95
Khyree Jackson at No. 97 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.4 · Pick 104 · Ray Davis · RB · rank 109
They took Ray Davis at par in pick No. 104, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R4.15 · Pick 115 · Zak Zinter · OG · rank 105
A slide stopped in the 115th pick, with Zak Zinter worth more than the price. A need, and now a little less of one.
R4.20 · Pick 120 · Ben Sinnott · TE · rank 129
They paid a round early for Ben Sinnott in No. 120, more than the board wanted. It fills a real need, too.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Roger Rosengarten · OT · rank 135
Roger Rosengarten in Round 4, Pick 26 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R5.2 · Pick 138 · Mohamed Kamara · DL-EDGE · rank 132
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 5 slot with a little surplus value in Mohamed Kamara. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R5.9 · Pick 145 · Jarrian Jones · CB · rank 136
Jarrian Jones in pick 145 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R5.11 · Pick 147 · Michael Pratt · QB · rank 140
Michael Pratt at slot 147 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the quarterback. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.18 · Pick 154 · Tyrone Tracy Jr. · WR · rank 151
Fair-plus on Tyrone Tracy Jr., a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.19 · Pick 155 · Kitan Oladapo · S · rank 154
By-the-book stuff, Kitan Oladapo at pick No. 155 squarely in line with his ranking. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R5.33 · Pick 169 · Tanor Bortolini · C · rank 189
This one needs a full-page explanation: Tanor Bortolini in the 169th pick, miles early. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Ty'Ron Hopper · LB · rank 182
The board had cheaper options than Ty'Ron Hopper at pick No. 172, and it noticed. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
R6.27 · Pick 202 · Kamal Hadden · CB · rank 168
They will replay Kamal Hadden at the Round 6 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.34 · Pick 209 · Cornelius Johnson · WR · rank 187
Cornelius Johnson at the 209th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Curtis Jacobs · LB · rank 198
Steal is underselling it; Curtis Jacobs at Round 6, Pick 44 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
R7.25 · Pick 245 · Edefuan Ulofoshio · LB · rank 237
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Edefuan Ulofoshio at the 245th overall pick. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
R7.35 · Pick 255 · Trey Taylor · S · rank 266
A conviction pick on Trey Taylor at pick 255 that the board grades a round light. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
