Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Sam Hartman at the 219th pick is 40 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Spending an early pick on linebacker with edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Landing Melton that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
