Wallace should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Trevin Wallace tumbling to the Packers in Round 7, Pick 35 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Taylor reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Kool-Aid McKinstry · CB · rank 24
In No. 25 they get a potential shutdown corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Darius Robinson · DL-EDGE · rank 39
No drama and no debate, Darius Robinson went about where he belonged in slot 41. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Junior Colson · LB · rank 52
Junior Colson in the Round 2 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Dominick Puni · OT · rank 88
Dominick Puni at pick 88 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Mike Sainristil · CB · rank 75
Mike Sainristil slid further than he should have, and the 91st overall pick is lovely value for the cornerback. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Mohamed Kamara · DL-EDGE · rank 133
They paid sticker price for Mohamed Kamara in the 126th pick, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R5.33 · Pick 169 · Jordan Travis · QB · rank 172
Jordan Travis in Round 5, Pick 33 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R6.27 · Pick 202 · Caedan Wallace · OT · rank 210
They jumped the gun on Caedan Wallace, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Nathaniel Watson · LB · rank 212
They did well to land Nathaniel Watson in pick 219, just ahead of his grade. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
R7.25 · Pick 245 · Trey Taylor · S · rank 262
A conviction pick on Trey Taylor at pick No. 245 that the board grades a round light. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R7.35 · Pick 255 · Trevin Wallace · LB · rank 233
Steal is underselling it; Trevin Wallace at the 255th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
