The Lawson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
The trade work was a quiet net positive.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 21 they get a sticky cover corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Jack Sawyer in pick 51 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They took Jay Higgins at par in Round 3, Pick 19, which is nothing to complain about. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Dani Dennis-Sutton at No. 85 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
