The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Packers watched Cameron Ward slide 114 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
