The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Wyatt Milum, No. 211, roughly 99 picks past where he belonged. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 19th overall pick they get a sticky cover corner, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Malaki Starks in the 51st pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
The board fumbled Quinshon Judkins all the way to pick 83, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at Round 4, Pick 19 is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Somehow Shemar Turner was still sitting there in slot 148, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jonah Monheim in pick No. 179 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Taking Wyatt Milum in the Round 7 slot is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
