The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Jacob Dobbs went at Round 7, Pick 29, a good 70 picks before the board was ready. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Bryant. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
