Green Bay Packers

The Packers let Kiser fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Jack Kiser had no business being available in the 211th overall pick, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.19 · Pick 19 · Abdul Carter · LB · rank 22
Abdul Carter in Round 1, Pick 19 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R2.19 · Pick 51 · Tyleik Williams · DT · rank 26
Tyleik Williams at pick 51 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R3.20 · Pick 84 · Walter Nolen · DL · rank 42
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at the 84th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
R4.30 · Pick 126 · Ashton Gillotte · DL-EDGE · rank 46
They will replay Ashton Gillotte at the 126th pick for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R5.19 · Pick 147 · Jonah Monheim · OT · rank 86
Circle this one: Jonah Monheim at pick No. 147 is a fall that decides a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R5.20 · Pick 148 · Shemar Turner · DL-EDGE · rank 89
Shemar Turner in slot 148 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R5.30 · Pick 158 · Wyatt Milum · OT · rank 112
Wyatt Milum at No. 158 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R6.19 · Pick 179 · Rylie Mills · DL · rank 96
The board fumbled Rylie Mills all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R7.19 · Pick 211 · Jack Kiser · LB · rank 121
They barely believed it either: Jack Kiser still on the board at the 211th overall pick. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
