Somebody took the Packers to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Styles steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
Value with a capital V on Barrett Carter in the 51st pick, a genuine coup. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A reach for Trevor Etienne in No. 84; a little patience would have been rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on J. Michael Sturdivant. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Wyatt Milum in Round 4, Pick 19 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
They liked Jasheen Davis enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 147. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Sonny Styles in the Round 5 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They took Fentrell Cypress II at par in slot 179, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
No drama and no debate, Trikweze Bridges went about where he belonged in the 220th overall pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
