The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tre Harris fell into No. 218. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
They will need Fleming to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a lockdown presence outside at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Taking Kenneth Grant in slot 55 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Tyleik Williams reach the Round 2 slot and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A slide stopped in pick No. 57, with Barrett Carter worth more than the price. A minor itch, scratched.
Steal is underselling it; Evan Stewart at No. 58 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Quinshon Judkins in the 87th overall pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Ashton Gillotte at the 119th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They will replay Jabbar Muhammad at pick 151 for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jordan Hancock at No. 152 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A tidy bit of business in pick 153, where Jonah Monheim graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Caden Prieskorn is a better player than the 154th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Circle this one: Sonny Styles at Round 5, Pick 27 is a fall that decides a draft. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They barely believed it either: Dasan McCullough still on the board at the Round 6 slot. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Collin Oliver in pick No. 186 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
They robbed the room for Wyatt Milum here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
The board fumbled Jaxson Dart all the way to slot 215, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Sebastian Castro in the 216th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
A edge rusher of that caliber at the Round 7 slot is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Tre Harris in Round 7, Pick 26 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They talked themselves into Julian Fleming at pick No. 219, and the board did not agree. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Bryce Foster at the 220th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
Somehow T.J. Sanders was still sitting there in slot 221, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. The roster fit checks out.
