Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Henderson: C.

The rest of the league will want that one back. TreVeyon Henderson tumbling to the Packers in pick No. 161 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Tetairoa McMillan · WR · rank 6
In the 25th pick they get a home-run threat at receiver, outstanding value to boot.
R2.25 · Pick 57 · Ashton Jeanty · RB · rank 2
They robbed the room for Ashton Jeanty here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.25 · Pick 89 · Tyleik Williams · DT · rank 69
Tyleik Williams in No. 89 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R4.25 · Pick 126 · Tyler Warren · TE · rank 58
Circle this one: Tyler Warren at pick 126 is a fall that decides a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
R4.26 · Pick 127 · Smael Mondon Jr. · LB · rank 42
Smael Mondon Jr. in the 127th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R4.27 · Pick 128 · Jake Majors · C · rank 65
Jake Majors at pick No. 128 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R4.34 · Pick 135 · Tacario Davis · CB · rank 99
Tacario Davis at slot 135 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R5.1 · Pick 139 · Deone Walker · DT · rank 128
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Deone Walker in the Round 5 slot. It fills a real need, too.
R5.23 · Pick 161 · TreVeyon Henderson · RB · rank 72
You do not let a running back like TreVeyon Henderson reach the 161st pick and blink. They did not. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.36 · Pick 174 · Daylen Everette · CB · rank 173
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Daylen Everette. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.26 · Pick 201 · Tory Horton · WR · rank 186
A slide stopped in the Round 6 slot, with Tory Horton worth more than the price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.27 · Pick 202 · Barrett Carter · LB · rank 172
Barrett Carter in Round 6, Pick 27 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
R7.2 · Pick 216 · Kevin Winston Jr. · S · rank 202
Kevin Winston Jr. slipping to the 216th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R7.27 · Pick 241 · Jonah Monheim · C · rank 196
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jonah Monheim in No. 241, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R7.34 · Pick 248 · Xavier Nwankpa · S · rank 177
Taking Xavier Nwankpa in pick No. 248 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
