The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Raheim Sanders fell into pick No. 241. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
The cost of the Covington reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 27 they get a sticky cover corner, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Steal is underselling it; Nick Emmanwori at Round 2, Pick 27 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Jalen Royals in No. 91 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
