Nobody had Miles Frazier this high, and it is not close. The Cowboys reached 69 spots to get him at pick 171. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Nash. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
A reach on TreVeyon Henderson in slot 44; the board had better options right there. It fills a real need, too.
The board had cheaper options than Ozzy Trapilo at No. 76, and it noticed. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
JJ Pegues at the 149th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A real head-scratcher, Miles Frazier in the Round 5 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Nazir Stackhouse well ahead of where he belonged. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nick Nash at pick No. 204 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
No drama and no debate, CJ West went about where he belonged in the 211th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Good price on Teddye Buchanan in the 239th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Nothing to complain about; John Williams went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
