The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Carson Schwesinger, pick No. 238, roughly 107 picks past where he belonged.
If Pierce pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.
The Stutsman pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.

Derrick Harmon at slot 34 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Steal is underselling it; Nick Emmanwori at No. 36 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Jihaad Campbell in pick No. 39; it is a wash and a sensible one. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Hollin Pierce well ahead of where he belonged. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A real head-scratcher, Jack Nelson in the 84th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No drama and no debate, Elic Ayomanor went about where he belonged in the 93rd pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jake Majors in the Round 4 slot. It fills a real need, too.
Of all the spots to shop, they chose linebacker. Danny Stutsman in the 105th overall pick leaves quarterback for later.
Nicholas Singleton at pick 120 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Rylie Mills at the Round 5 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jonah Monheim slid further than he should have, and pick No. 219 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board had Jake Briningstool higher than slot 220, and the tight end fell to them anyway. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Jordan Hancock at No. 235 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Taking Carson Schwesinger in the 238th pick is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
