Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Cardinals will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
However the rest shakes out, Noel at that price is a win they earned. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 16 they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jonah Savaiinaea. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They took Darien Porter at par in pick No. 78, which is nothing to complain about. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Value with a capital V on Jaylin Noel in the 114th pick, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
