Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Packers, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.
They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Moore.
The Sawyer pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
Pick-by-Pick
They jumped the gun on Jack Sawyer, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Malachi Moore in Round 2, Pick 25 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Tyler Warren at the 61st pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. It fills a real need, too.
