The one they had to fix is still broken. The Raiders left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
That Egbuka pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Stout has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
Ashton Jeanty in pick 6 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Emeka Egbuka in the Round 2 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Carson Schwesinger in the 68th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A premium they did not need to pay, Denzel Burke a notch or two before his time. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A reach for Pat Bryant in slot 143; a little patience would have been rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid a round early for Upton Stout in Round 6, Pick 4, more than the board wanted. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Kyle Monangai at the 213th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Kain Medrano in pick No. 215 is fair value, right on his grade. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Craig Woodson. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
