The one they had to fix is still broken. The Patriots left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
Reaching for Stockton left real value on the table behind him. The back end got a real overhaul.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 3 they get a ballhawk on the outside. Need was not the driver here.
Omarion Hampton in slot 35 is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Danny Stutsman at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
Rylie Mills in the 99th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Antonio Williams at No. 131 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
