The Packers clearly saw something nobody else did in Tyler Batty, taking him 124 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
However the rest shakes out, Majors at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 25 they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
Kamari Ramsey at pick No. 56 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A minor itch, scratched.
They took Charles Grant at par in No. 88, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Rylie Mills at the Round 3 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Domani Jackson. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They barely believed it either: Jake Majors still on the board at pick 159. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Tyler Batty at the Round 6 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Germie Bernard in the 199th pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Jared Wilson at the 237th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
KJ Jefferson at pick 250 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
