The rest of the league will want that one back. Raheim Sanders tumbling to the Packers in the Round 7 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
Reaching for Burch left real value on the table behind him. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Will Johnson slid further than he should have, and the Round 1 slot is lovely value for the cornerback. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Shavon Revel Jr. at slot 56 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jordan Burch in No. 88 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 125th pick is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
The board fumbled Barrett Carter all the way to Round 5, Pick 22, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
Jared Wilson at pick No. 199 is a conviction pick that outran the value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Raheim Sanders in the 237th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow Jonah Monheim was still sitting there in pick 250, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Garrett Dellinger in the Round 7 slot is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
