The war room fell hard for Thor Griffith, and it showed at pick No. 159: 118 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Put together, it is a D.
The Sanders pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. With quarterback and wide receiver unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.

JT Tuimoloau in pick No. 40 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Donovan Jackson at the 61st overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Domani Jackson in No. 98 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
