Nobody had Mitchell Evans this high, and it is not close. The Packers reached 78 spots to get him at the 237th pick.
The Barton steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Pick-by-Pick
In the 29th pick they get a sticky cover corner at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Donovan Jackson this early at pick 36. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
By-the-book stuff, Jalen Royals at pick No. 61 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A tidy bit of business in the 70th overall pick, where Tyleik Williams graded well above the range. It fills a real need, too.
They reached a country mile for Daylen Everette at Round 3, Pick 24, and the board is aghast. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
