Nobody else had Thor Griffith anywhere near the 196th overall pick. The Packers did, by 87 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

Barton falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
