The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jake Majors, the 237th overall pick, roughly 139 picks past where he belonged. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The cost of the Burke reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
