Thirty-one other rooms let D'Angelo Ponds slide, and the Chargers were the ones holding the card at No. 86. Highway robbery. No fireworks, but a solid B.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

In the 22nd pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A real need, handled.
No drama and no debate, Christen Miller went about where he belonged in pick 58. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
D'Angelo Ponds in Round 3, Pick 22 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
