Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The 49ers never addressed wide receiver, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
If Young pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They went 2 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

In the Round 1 slot they get a problem off the edge, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Jake Slaughter in pick No. 58 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
