You could see the war room lean forward. Mansoor Delane at pick 64 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 32nd overall pick they get juice off the edge, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Mansoor Delane at Round 2, Pick 32 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jadarian Price at No. 96 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Matt Gulbin in pick 188 is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
