When the story of this class is written, it opens with Marvin Jones Jr. at the 234th pick, a reach of 103 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
The Dunker value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 12 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
In slot 25 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A real need, handled.
In the 26th overall pick they get a load in the middle, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
The board had Anthony Hill Jr. higher than the Round 2 slot, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Gennings Dunker at pick No. 92 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Steal is underselling it; Mike Washington Jr. at pick 112 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No drama and no debate, Skyler Gill-Howard went about where he belonged in No. 152. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They paid sticker price for Nate Boerkircher in the 154th pick, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Louis Moore in pick 162 is fair value, right on his grade. It adds depth where they could use a little.

They took Dae'Quan Wright at par in pick No. 174, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Bobby Jamison-Travis at Round 5, Pick 37 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
By-the-book stuff, Josh Cameron at the 180th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Zavion Thomas in the Round 7 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
