There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cardinals took Drew Allar a full 53 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Styles.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 11 they get the heartbeat of the defense. A real need, handled.
In slot 30 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
They read the board right and Kenyon Sadiq was the payoff at pick 34. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chris Johnson at the 43rd overall pick is the proof. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Value with a capital V on Chase Bisontis in the 65th pick, a genuine coup. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jadarian Price in the Round 3 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
They reached a country mile for Drew Allar at the 104th overall pick, and the board is aghast. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A premium they did not need to pay, Isaiah World a notch or two before his time. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
