The Packers put a flag in the ground for Dominic Zvada, 65 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Pick-by-Pick
Chris Johnson at Round 2, Pick 4 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Derrick Moore at the Round 2 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They paid sticker price for Ted Hurst in slot 84, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Nicholas Singleton at pick 120 is the proof. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A quiet steal in the 160th overall pick: Jaeden Roberts for less than the market said. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They jumped the gun on Bobby Jamison-Travis, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A real head-scratcher, Dominic Zvada in pick 236 is miles ahead of his ranking. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Fair-plus on Alan Herron, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
