Call it larceny. Kenyon Sadiq sat on the board until pick No. 52, and the Packers did not need to be asked twice. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Anthony II pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
Steal is underselling it; Kenyon Sadiq at the 52nd pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Christen Miller reach slot 84 and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Nothing to complain about; Charles Demmings went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A reach for Aamil Wagner in No. 160; a little patience would have been rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Demond Claiborne at the Round 5 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Seth McGowan in pick 201 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They paid up for Vinny Anthony II at pick No. 236 when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nolan Rucci at the 255th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
