There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Packers never got to the one that mattered most. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.
Every board in the league had Washington Jr. lower, and that gap is the story. Cameron at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
If Mike Washington Jr. and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
A big swing on Mike Washington Jr. at slot 52, well ahead of any board in the building. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Treydan Stukes at the 84th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Kaleb Proctor in Round 4, Pick 20 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Charles Demmings in No. 153 lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They jumped the gun on Travis Burke, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Nice patience on Josh Cameron, who had no business lasting to pick No. 201. A need, and now a little less of one.
A reach on Vinny Anthony II in the Round 7 slot; the board had better options right there. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jalon Daniels at the 255th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
