Some picks age like wine; Blake Shapen at pick 239 will need to, sitting 173 spots clear of his grade. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.
Williams at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The Chris Godwin deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Wesley Williams at the Round 7 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
