The Texans did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Antonio Williams fell into slot 243.
The Wagner reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Hit on Aamil Wagner and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 28 they get protection for the quarterback, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Christen Miller in Round 2, Pick 6, miles early. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taking Olaivavega Ioane in slot 59 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
