The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Broncos watched Fa'alili Fa'amoe slide 19 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. If Hobbs pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Antonio Williams in pick No. 62; it is a wash and a sensible one. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A slide stopped in No. 108, with Darrell Jackson Jr. worth more than the price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Justin Joly in the 111th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Kaleb Elarms-Orr at Round 5, Pick 30 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
