When the story of this class is written, it opens with Quintayvious Hutchins at pick 155, a reach of 39 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
Stowers at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 15th pick they get a disruptor off the edge, reach and all.
They let CJ Allen come to them and pounced at pick No. 46. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A tight end of that caliber at pick 77 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Somehow Chandler Rivers was still sitting there in the 116th overall pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They reached into another round for Quintayvious Hutchins, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Josh Cameron in No. 195. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
