You can draft well and still miss the point. The Lions did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
A reasonable price with a little left over, Mansoor Delane in the Round 1 slot. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Gennings Dunker. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
