Williams falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 26 they get juice off the edge, a steep price for the projection.
They reached a country mile for Aaron Anderson at the Round 3 slot, and the board is aghast. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A real head-scratcher, Kalil Alexander in slot 126 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Antonio Williams all the way to pick No. 165, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Red Murdock in pick 168 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Ricardo Hallman at the 182nd overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Nick Barrett this early at Round 7, Pick 4. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
