Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Eagles spent slot 68 on Luke Hasz, a name the board had a full 247 spots lower. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.
Getting Ramsey where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Rayshaun Benny well ahead of where he belonged. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Luke Hasz in the 68th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The roster fit checks out.
Mikail Kamara at pick 98 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They barely believed it either: Kamari Ramsey still on the board at the 114th overall pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Skyler Gill-Howard at slot 137 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
