You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Seahawks did exactly that with Aaron Graves in Round 3, Pick 32. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.

Aaron Graves at pick 96 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A real head-scratcher, Barion Brown in the Round 6 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
