The Saints spent real capital to be 22 picks early on Beau Stephens, and the board is going to hold them to it.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Trigg pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
