The Jalil Farooq selection is the head-turner. The Packers reached 83 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Masses falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
