The Packers torched the value chart for Keaten Wade, taking him 114 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On value alone, Cuevas makes the weekend a net positive. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
Gennings Dunker at slot 52 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jacob Rodriguez in the Round 3 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Keylan Rutledge at pick No. 120 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They reached a country mile for J'Mari Taylor at No. 170, and the board is aghast. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
The board had cheaper options than TJ Hall at the 201st overall pick, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They paid sticker price for Isaiah Jatta in Round 7, Pick 20, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
A slide stopped in the Round 7 slot, with Josh Cuevas worth more than the price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Keaten Wade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
