The rest of the league will want that one back. Bryce Lance tumbling to the Patriots in the 125th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Rodriguez pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots. Reaching for Rodriguez left real value on the table behind him.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
